An appeals court in Florida has thrown out two of the four CASEY ANTHONY convictions for lying to investigating detectives.
.During her 2011 trial, Anthony was acquitted of murder and other serious charges in Caylee's death in 2008, but jurors convicted her of four misdemeanor counts of lying to law-enforcement.
She was sentenced to probation, and Anthony's attorneys appealed the convictions.
One of the issues ker lawyers argued was whether Anthony should have been charged with four separate counts of lying to law-enforcement, The Orlando Sentinel reported
As The ENQUIRER previously reported Anthony's attorneys argued that double jeopardy principles preclude her from being convicted for more than a single violation because her multiple lies were asingle offense.
