In 2009, the deeply religious football star – who recently coined the phrase “Kaepernicking” to describe his touchdown celebrations – was in a relationship with pretty undergrad Felicia Ladson at the University of Nevada, Reno. But after their romance cooled and Ladson, 26, gave birth to a baby boy in March 2010, she immediately slapped the then-22-year-old college athlete with a paternity suit. Child welfare officials instructed him to take a government-mandated DNA test and pay Felicia 18 percent of his gross monthly income for child support. However, the gridiron sensation immediately fired back by submitting his own DNA test, which proved he was not the father of the baby, according to court documents. read more
